My child is in a lower grade and can not complete assignments between 9 and 1. What should I do?

It’s not a problem. Students can complete work at any point during the day and ask questions about it the next day during the 9-1 pm period. We are working on a system that will allow students to see their teachers in real-time online and ask questions. We will be rolling that out for next week. Instructions will follow later this week.

What about Math 9?

Math 9 students will meet during the scheduled 8th grade math period. Their codes can be found at the bottom of the page linked here

We only have access to an iPad at home. Is it necessary to have a laptop to complete the assignments for 1st grade?

Yes, an iPad should be fine, but if you need a laptop you may borrow one from school while supplies last.

Are the online classes going to follow the same structure of an 8am-3pm classroom model?

No. Classes will begin at 9 am and end at 1 pm. for this week. If things change we will make that known.

How do students (6 grade) turn in math homework to their teachers? They do their HW in their notebooks. Should students scan and email the HW to the teacher?

Homework will be given via online forms. All submissions will be handled electronically.

What if my child needs assistance logging into a site, who can they contact?

E-mail, remind app, or classtag app will allow the student to contact the teacher for detailed directions.

How will the children be tested on there work?

For the first week, any assessments will be given via google forms or docs. Younger grades will be doing review work, so assessments on new work will not be given. If this closure is prolonged we will update parents and students on how assessments will be conducted. We are currently in contact with the Diocese office about this issue.

Do you anticipate closure until April 20?
